After finishing our tour of Heavy Seas Brewery in Halethorpe (where our decision to visit Mutiny was confirmed by the tour guide, who informed us that the bar had several casks at the bar), we made our way to Glen Burnie to find the bar.

I had read a mainly positive review of this place a few weeks back in the Baltimore Sun, and after eating at Iron Bridge (an associated restaurant) last week, I decided to give it a try since my friends and I were heading to what we thought was the area in which the restaurant was located. All in all, a great experience and we will definitely be back. Prices are reasonable, the owners are on-site and stopped by to check on us. An interesting option, but I'm not much of a rum drinker I discovered. Three small shots of different rums for tasting. We stayed a little longer for after dinner drinks of a 'rum flight'. When we explained, she promptly removed them and replaced them quickly with a fresh order of plain wings. When the waitress noted we weren't eating them, she asked if there was a problem. The wings, while plump and well-cooked, were just a bit over seasoned. Fresh, juicy, and perfectly prepared with homemade french fries. The burger, another first for me, was fantastic. The food arrived perfectly timed after our appetizer. We then decided to share a burger topped with grilled shrimp and a order of Old Bay wings. It was lumpy with crab meat, perfectly seasoned, and the chips were great. The crab dip was fantastic! And I'm a crab dip snob. It came with homemade chips, which was a first for me. What a treasure she was! My friend and I started with an appetizer of crab dip. She took the time to answer all our questions and was friendly and helpful. She explained that all the food was freshly prepared and homemade. The waitress was friendly, asked if this was our first visit, and explained the menu, the rum bar menu, and told us if we hurry with our drink order, we can make it just in time for the happy hour prices.

Winding down the main road to the Mutiny, you may think you are heading the wrong way.don't worry, keep going, you won't regret it. It's a small place tucked in the back of a neighborhood. On the outside, you kinda wonder if you want to actually go inside. Went for dinner with a friend last Friday evening.
